What Are Nightly Notes?
- They're the opposite of Morning Pages.
- So they're written at night instead of first thing in the morning.
- They are typed instead of handwritten,
- They're public instead of private,
- They're guided by questions instead of flowing freely
- A completed entry consists of six questions and six answers instead of three pages
- Since they are public others are allowed to comment on them
For an interesting variation on daily writing see 100 words.

It is 9:43 pm.
- who impressed me the most today? a young tatooed woman I saw riding her bike down 3rd street. I liked the fact that she was so certain of something that she had imagery of it on her body. At least 25% of her body was brightly tatooed. I'm impressed by decisiveness.
- what did I do all day? lots of running around, but most importantly I drafted 1428 words which finished off a major section of my novel's "shitty first draft". I printed the 46 single spaced pages of that section and I'll put them in the binder with all the others tomorrow an then Saturday when I'm being a "weekend novelist" I'll start drafting the last section!! of the novel. It's amazing. Also, I started rereading my morning pages. I'm on page 455 so I decided to just reread August. Think about reading back to April depressed and overwhelmed me.
- when did I leave the house? when I took J to school I ran errands from there
- where did I go today? to Western High School, Conway Middle, The main library, KFW offices, the bank, Kroger,
- why didn't I get more done today? I caught myself aimlessly wandering the web more than once
- how could I have been more productive? I could have logged
